What's included

Everything inside the building, from one company

A facility design-build covers the whole project: the building, the layout, the turf, the cages and the equipment your athletes train with. Silverleaf handles all of it, so you deal with one company instead of a builder, a turf installer, a netting company and an equipment dealer.

How a build works

From concrete pour to athletes in the building

One company runs the project from the first call to opening day. We take the stress of getting the space built off your plate, so you can focus on serving athletes and getting them in the door.

  1. First call

Tell us about your program, your site or building, and how you want the space to work.

  2. Design

We lay out the facility around your program: cage count, turf areas, mounds and how athletes move through the building.

  3. Building

New buildings go up through Metal America, starting with the concrete pour. Existing barns, warehouses and metal buildings are built out as they stand.

  4. Turf

Training turf goes in for cage lanes and common areas.

  5. Cages, netting and equipment

Nets custom ordered through Cimarron Sports, with HitTrax systems and Portolite mounds where your program needs them.

  6. Athletes in the building

You open the doors. One company handled it from start to finish.

Who we build for

Built the way you want it, for your program

Every facility is built around the people who will train in it. Our founder, Jackson Jones, pitched four years of college baseball, so he builds these spaces as someone who spent most of his life training in them.

FAQ

Facility design-build questions

Have a question that isn't here?

What does a facility design-build include?

Design, the building, turf, batting cages and netting, and equipment like HitTrax systems and Portolite mounds. New buildings go up through our building partner, Metal America, starting with the concrete pour. Silverleaf handles every part, so you don't hire a builder, a turf installer, a netting company and an equipment dealer separately.

How much does it cost to build a baseball training facility?

It depends on the size of the facility, whether you need a new building or are building out one you own, the number of cages, how much turf goes in, and the equipment you add. Every facility is custom, so we quote yours from your plans and your site. The quote is free.

How long does a facility build take?

It depends on the scope. A new building through Metal America, starting with the concrete pour, takes longer than building out a barn or warehouse you already own. Nets are custom ordered, so they're part of the schedule too. Ask for a quote and we'll give you a timeline for your project.

Can you build out a barn, warehouse or metal building we already own?

Yes. We install cages, netting and turf inside existing barns, warehouses and metal buildings. If you need a new building, we build it through Metal America.

Do you build facilities for schools and ISDs?

Yes. We build for athletic directors, coaches and districts. Our builds meet ASTM safety standards, and we're fully insured.

Can you install HitTrax systems and Portolite mounds?

Yes. We set up HitTrax hitting data and simulation systems and Portolite portable pitching mounds and mats as part of your build.

What warranty comes with a facility build?

Two separate warranties. Our workmanship is covered for 1 year. Turf and products carry the manufacturer's warranty, up to 25 years depending on the product.

Where do you build facilities?

Anywhere in Texas, from our home base in Fort Worth, including the Dallas-Fort Worth area. We also take facility projects in surrounding states.
